Kellie Pickler’s husband, Kyle Jacobs, died of an apparent suicide, according to police. He was 49. Kyle Jacobs was a songwriter and was also a former contestant on “American Idol”.
According to The Metropolitan Nashville Police, Jacobs was found dead inside the home on Friday. His death is being probed as an apparent suicide. His wife, Pickler, woke up abruptly before the incident. She and her assistant tried to open the upstairs bedroom door but failed to do so and called 911.
Pickler and Jacobs were married in 2011. In 2015 the couple appeared in a reality show “I Love Kellie Pickler”. Jacobs wrote many hit songs including Garth Brooks, More Than a Memory, and Tim McGraw’s.
Jacobs celebrated the success of one of his songs with Lee Brice the day before his death. Jacobs won a CMA Award, and an ACM Award throughout his career. He was also nominated for Grammy Award.
